Welcome to our weekly Friday Check-in for September 5th, 2025 ✅
Happy September! Let’s check in, how are you doing? How does your body feel right now? What do you need as we start a new month? What do you hope September holds for you?
If you are seeking rest, space to reflect, renewal, community and solitude, you’re invited to join us for the Semi-Silent Retreat TOMORROW! Check your time zone and hope to see you there!
Let's begin with,
Page: An Invitation to Reflection
We invite you to revisit one of your favorite passages of Scripture today. Reader’s choice!
Read the passage three times.
Spend a few minutes journaling in response to this passage:
- What stands out to you most? Is there a particular word or phrase?
- As you read through it a second time… ask God, “to what area of my life does that particular word or phrase connect?”
- And as you read a third time, be asking God, “Is there an invitation for me?” Is there a response of some kind that God is inviting you into?
Next up is,
Person: An Invitation to Connection
Set aside 20 minutes this week to have a conversation with a safe person in your life... a family member, friend, or neighbor, or a person who represents a “safe third space” (i.e. Spiritual Director, therapist, coach, etc), and share what you’ve been learning about your soul health lately. If appropriate, ask them about their soul health. Talk about how you hope to continue pursuing soul care in the remaining months of 2025.
Finally we have,
Plan: An Invitation to Intention
Here’s a brief recap of what we’ve discussed lately...Soul care is found not in grand gestures but in the small, steady practices of presence: breathing deeply, identifying and surrendering fears, offering what little we have, interceding for others, and keeping watch for God’s quiet movements. In these hidden acts of trust and surrender, we discover healing, connection, and the courage to follow Jesus with open hands and attentive hearts. Nothing surrendered to God is ever insignificant.
The intentional pursuit of soul care is cultivating space for God in the hidden, often overlooked moments, like choosing to pause, to pray honestly, to stay alert, and to trust that even the smallest acts of faith open us more deeply to God’s love and renewal.
- Looking back over these weeks, which Scripture, practice, or invitation has stayed with you the longest or returned to mind most often? Why do you think it resonated?
- How have these small rhythms of reflection, connection, and intention helped you notice God’s presence in your daily life?
- How can you be intentional as you move forward in your soul care journey?
A prayer to close:
“Lord, thank You for meeting us in the quiet and small places of our lives. Teach us to carry Your presence with us in courage, trust, and love as we step into what comes next. Amen.”
If our team can connect you to any further resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We are in your corner and praying blessings over you.
Thanks for checking in today - Blessings!
