Getting Started with Soul Care— 03-May-2010 08:37 AM
People often ask, "I want to start caring for my soul now... but where do I begin?"
While there are many valid responses to that question, and there are definitely no "programs" to a deepening, authentic life with God, there is one logical place to start: a Journal. Why there? A journal creates space for self-expression, and space to hear from God. Also, it's very concrete. Even if your life is full of people and activities, a journal becomes a safe place to be alone with God.

How do you use a journal for spiritual growth, not just a place to dump your concerns? Write for Your Soul can help offer some thoughts and ideas to spur your journaling in a helpful direction.
Available with a Soul Care journal, as a pdf, as a booklet, or in quantities, this small booklet is used in churches, campus ministries, counseling clinics, and spiritual direction offices around the country--and it just might help you, too!
The Soul Care Series can be done in a particular sequence. Each book in the series has four complete discussion guides for small groups or other guided conversations. If you'd like to do all four in order, we suggest this:
1) Discovering Soul Care
2) Spiritual Friendship
3) Soul Searching
4) Simplicity
